In-store campout to benefit food banks, Salvation Army
Sprankle’s Neighborhood Market in Leechburg will host its annual Campout for Community from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at the store, 117 Third St., and live online on Facebook.
The event features a day of interviews with local community leaders and promotion of local businesses. Ten percent of sales at the company’s stores in Leechburg, Kittanning and Saxonburg that day will be donated to the local food bank or Salvation Army. Kettle donations will be accepted, and Pennsylvania Skill Games will match up to the first $10,000 collected.
Photography and art show planned at Pittsburgh Mills gallery
The New Kensington Camera Club and Focus on the Arts Gallery will host a spring photography and art show, “Art in Bloom,” Fridays and Saturdays April 16 to May 15 at the gallery in Pittsburgh Mills Mall, Frazer.
Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays. There will be over 60 entries all made by artists from the Alle-Kiski Valley. Visitors may vote for their favorite entry and will be eligible to win a $25 gift card to any mall business. Admission is free.

Salvation Army free lunch distribution planned Thursday
The Allegheny Valley Salvation Army and Community Center in Brackenridge offers free grab and go lunches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays in parking lot at the center, 917 Brackenridge Ave.
Freeport Area HS Key Club sponsoring food drive
The Freeport Area High School Key Club will sponsor a drive-thru food drive from 6 to 6:30 p.m. in the front circle at the high school, South Pike Road, Buffalo Township, to benefit the Freeport Food Bank.
Items needed include non-perishable food products, personal hygiene items and cleaning supplies.
