Christopher’s Light seeking donations and volunteers

Children’s charity Christopher’s Light is accepting donations of hygiene products and new backpacks.

Donations can be dropped off from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and 10 a.m. to noon Thursdays at the Saltsburg location, 202 Point St.

Monetary donations can be sent to Christopher’s Light, P.O. Box 94, Apollo PA 15613. To volunteer your time, visit the contact tab at christopherslight.com.

All donations received are used for local children in Westmoreland, Armstrong, and Indiana counties.

Park cleanup planned Saturday in Leechburg

Volunteers are welcome at a spring cleanup planned at 9 a.m. Saturday in the Leechburg gazebo park, behind Sprankle’s Neighborhood Market on Third Street.

Work will also be done in Fraley Park beside the bridge. Bring a rake and a pair of gloves.

Produce, personal care items to be distributed in Harrison

Building Block of Natrona will host its free Veggies for All and Cosmetics Closet outreach for residents in need at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 28 Garfield St., Natrona, Harrison.

Patrons should not arrive before 12:45 p.m. Free produce, and personal care and hygiene products will be distributed until supplies run out.

Extra hygiene steps will be taken. Income verification is not required, and everyone is welcome. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.

Free Pot Love luncheon planned Saturday

Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church free takeout monthly Pot Love Dinner will begin at noon Saturday at the church, 271 Main St., Leechburg.

Reservations are required by noon Friday. One dinner per family member limit. Those with reservations will be served first. For reservations, call 724-845-1901 or email church@crcpc.org. Line-up will be outside and social distancing must be observed. Everyone is welcome.
