Mibsters shoot for national marbles tourney

Marble programs are scheduled throughout Allegheny County in anticipation of the annual National Marbles Tournament in June in Wildwood, N.J-.

The program is free to children age 14 and younger. Winners will receive an Allegheny County Marbles Champ t-shirt, marbles and marbles shooting rules. No registration is required. All local champions qualify to enter the Allegheny County championship, which will be held May 19 to 21 at the Allegheny County Courthouse Courtyard, 436 Grant St., Pittsburgh, for an opportunity to advance to the Nationals.

Local tournaments include:

• April 18 to 29, 6 to 7:30 p.m. weekdays and 1 to 3 p.m. April 23 and 24 in the food court at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, 590 Pittsburgh Mills Circle, Frazer. Details: Chris Garrett, 724-904-9010.

Tickets available for Burrell School District Kennywood Day

The Burrell School District Kennywood Day will be June 4 at the park in West Mifflin. All ticket sales will be online.

Visit kennywood.com and use the promo code BURRELL. Tickets are $29 each, plus processing fees. The date that the ticket will be used must be selected. Tickets can only be used during May and June and will expire June 30.

Cahal Dunne to perform at Concordia Lutheran Ministries

Concordia Lutheran Ministries will present Irish singer Cahal Dunne in concert at 7 p.m. April 28 at Haven I, 112 160 Marwood Road, Jefferson.
