Alle-Kiski Sports Hall of Fame tickets on sale

Alle-Kiski Valley Sports Hall of Fame will have its 52nd induction banquet at 7 p.m. May 20 at the Pittsburgh Shriner Center, 1887 Shriners Way, Harmar.

This year’s inductees are Erin Exler Bish, Joseph Galli, Mark Lamendola, Stefan Lundberg, Kerry McKinney Mills, Tom Phillips, Thomas Slosky, Tom Saulle, Emily Alcorn Taylor and R. Terry Thompson.

Trib Total Media will recognize 12 local student-athletes for their accomplishments and the Allegheny County Labor Council will issue a Courage Award.

Free grab-and-go meals available

Knead Community Café in New Kensington will hand out free grab-and-go meals from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the café, 1011 Barnes St.

Brackenridge Salvation Army to distribute free lunches

The Allegheny Valley Salvation Army and Community Center offers free grab-and-go lunches from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in parking lot at the center, 917 Brackenridge Ave.

Free grocery items from Walmart and Aldi will be available. Everyone is welcome.
