Ladies tea to benefit TryLife Center

A ladies tea fundraiser to benefit TryLife Center will be at 11:30 a.m. May 13 at Harvest Baptist Church, 224 Harvest Lane, Harrison.

Doors open at 10:30 a.m. Attire is dressy and hats and fascinators are welcome. Cost is $30 and includes tea, beverages, scones, tea sandwiches, dessert and one door prize drawing entry. There will be a basket raffle and the event is for adults only.

Free to-go dinners offered in Harrison

The Christ Our Hope Church will distribute free to-go dinners for Mother’s Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 13 at the church, 926 Painter Ave., Natrona Heights, Harrison.

Advance orders are required and will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. The menu will include barbequed chicken breast, baked potato, mixed vegetables, roll and a brownie. Order deadline is May 5. Orders will be accepted at 724-895-3105 or frjohn@cohac.org.


Donations sought for Kiski River trout stocking program

The Kiskiminetas Watershed Association is accepting donations for its trout stocking fund that is used to release fish into the river.

Checks made out to KWA Trout Fund can be sent to KWA, P.O. Box 83, Leechburg Pa. 15656.


Thank you

Cook Medical in partnership with McCutcheon Enterprises would like to thank everyone who brought their electronic waste to the April 22 Earth Day collection at the plant in Parks. The event was a success and over four tractor trailer loads and 80 pallets were collected. Thank you to the Cook employees who volunteered their time.
