Food truck rally planned Saturday in Lower Burrell
Lower Burrell Volunteer Fire Company No. 3, 3255 Leechburg Road, will host a Food Truck Rally from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the firehall.
Cash and credit and debit cards will be accepted. Outdoor covered seating and free parking will be available. Twenty percent of proceeds will be donated to the fire company.
Spaghetti dinner fundraiser to benefit local family
A spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Lower Burrell American Legion, 206 Wildlife Lodge Road, to benefit the Eric and Kelly Giordano family.
Eric suffered serious injuries March 20 when he fell from a two-story rooftop. Funds raised will assist with medical costs.
The menu will include spaghetti, meatballs, salad, roll and butter. Cost is $10; 10 and younger, $5. There will be a basket raffle, 50/50 raffle and bake sale. For details, email wiltcolleen@gmail.com.
Free herb kits to be distributed Saturday
Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church, Leechburg, will sponsor the Tom-Herb Project from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church, 271 Main St.
Free herb starter kits with instructions and recipes and vouchers for a free tomato plant from Kiski Plaza Garden Center, Allegheny Township, will be distributed. Masks are required at pickup.
