Kiski Area students to present ‘Shrek the Musical’

The drama department of Kiski Area High School will present, “Shrek the Musical,” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday in the high school auditorium, Allegheny Township.

Donations, volunteers needed by Allegheny Valley Association of Churches

The Hospitality Homes division of Allegheny Valley Association of Churches provides housing to families and individuals who have a disability and are experiencing homelessness.

Volunteers are needed to assist moving families in and out of units two to three times per year, and to mow and trim grass in one or two yards every week to 10 days. Items needed include outdoor and kitchen-size trash cans, trash bags kitchen-size and larger, dish detergent, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, feminine products, plastic food bags in all sizes and gently-used or new vacuum cleaners. Donations will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 5 weekdays at the center, 1913 Freeport Road, Harrison. For information, call 724-226-0606, ext. 10 or email kathi@avaoc.org.

Candy-filled plastic eggs can be delivered April 16 to your yard in the Bell and Avonmore areas via the firetruck with the Easter Bunny or a basket can be left on the porch with a note from you.
