Help needed for NK community clean-up day
Volunteers are needed for a community clean-up day planned from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in downtown New Kensington.
To give your time, meet at 956 Fifth Ave. Bring a pair of work gloves. Water and garbage bags will be provided.
Local parishes to host golf outing fundraiser
A golf outing to benefit St. James and Our Lady, Queen of Peace parishes will be June 10 at the Links at Spring Church, 3257 Brenhaven Lane, Kiski Township.
Registration will begin at 7 a.m. and a shotgun start will be at 8 a.m. Lunch will be served afterward. Cost per golfer is $90 in advance; $100 on the day of the event, cash only. There will be door prizes, a skins game, hole-in-one prizes, skill prizes and a 50/50.

May 27: St. James Parish will sponsor a Super Patriotic Bingo at 7 p.m. in the parish activity center, 109 Owens View Drive. Doors open at 5 p.m. Cost: $30, includes bingo supplies, food and drinks.
