Spring luncheon to raise funds for Peoples Library
Peoples Library will host its annual spring luncheon fundraiser April 27 at the Banquet on Barnes event center at Knead Community Café, 1011 Barnes St., New Kensington.
Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and a buffet lunch will be served at 1:30. There will be a basket raffle, gift card and lottery trees, a bake sale and 50-50.

Wildflower identification class planned
The Outdoor Discovery Center at Crooked Creek, Bethel Township, will offer a free class to identify wildflowers of Western Pennsylvania at 1 p.m. Saturday at the center, 142 Kerr Road.
Master Naturalist Susie Moffett will teach how to use identification tools such as Newcomb’s Wildflower Guide and then the group will head outside.

Bingo fundraiser to benefit Zen Cat Sanctuary
Speed Family Blessing Box & Pantry, 1702 Fifth Ave., Arnold, will host a bingo fundraiser at 1 p.m. Saturday at the pantry to benefit Zen Cat Sanctuary in New Kensington.
Admission is $10. Food and drinks will be sold and there will be specials, giveaway tickets and a 50-50 raffle.
