1973 Springdale HS champion teams to be celebrated

Allegheny Valley School District is planning a celebration to mark the the anniversaries of the 1973 WPIAL championship football and soccer teams.

Free concert to feature Ms. Freddye

Free movie to be screened in Harrison Hills Park

Today: The Leechburg Area Community Association’s Mingle on Market event will be from 6 to 9 p.m. along Market Street. The G6 Band will perform and there will be a farmers market.

Lower Burrell  

Saturday: The ClothesLine Ministry at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 3084 Leechburg Road, will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. Clothing, shoes and purses will be sold for 10 cents each. The jewelry room will be open. Free school supplies will be given to students accompanied by an adult.

Saturday: The farmers market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bon Air Elementary School, 3260 Leechburg Road.

Saturday: The Veterans of Foreign Wars will feature the G6 Band from 8 to 11 p.m. at the post. Members and three guests welcome.
