Annual Riverbration planned in Kittanning
The Kittanning Boat Races Riverbration event will be Friday, Saturday and Aug. 16 in Kittanning Riverfront Park.
There will be food, vendors, free kids’ activities and entertainment each day and boat racing on the Allegheny River by the Three Rivers Outboard Racing Association and American Power Boat Association. A car cruise will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 15.

Bike run planned Aug. 23 by Ashley’s Angels
Ashley’s Angels will sponsor a motorcycle run and lunch Aug. 23 at the New Kensington Eagles, 2134 Freeport Road.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and kickstands up will be at 10:30 a.m. Oakmont Bakery doughnuts and coffee will be served for breakfast. Cost is $25 per rider; $20 per passenger; and includes lunch. Tickets for the 1:30 p.m. lunch only are $20. There will be entertainment, a basket auction, cash bar and a 50/50 raffle.

Drive-thru food distribution set Tuesday at Pittsburgh Mills
Allegheny Valley Association of Churches and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will host a drive-thru food distribution for anyone in need from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in parking lot of the former JC Penney store at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, Frazer.
Reservations are not required. Do not arrive before 4 p.m. Guests should remain in their vehicles and open their door or trunk and will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.
