Apollo Lions to sponsor annual Cracker Jack Day
The Apollo Area Lions Club will hold its annual Cracker Jack Day fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of the Apollo Bridge and Astronaut Way in Apollo.
Donations will be accepted to benefit Lions projects and those who contribute will receive a bag of Cracker Jack.

Location, time changed for Ashley’s Angels Bike Run
The location and time for the Ashley’s Angels Bike Run, set for Aug. 22 is changed. The event will begin and end at Gatto Harley-Davidson, 139 E. Sixth Ave., Tarentum.
Registration will be at 9 a.m. and kickstands up will be at 10:30 a.m. Cost is $20 per rider; $10 per passenger; and includes lunch at approximately 12:30 p.m. Tickets for the lunch only are $15.
There will be entertainment and a 50/50 raffle. Face masks and social distancing will be required.
Proceeds will benefit Ashley’s Angels charity that raises money to help families who have lost a member to the opioid epidemic.

Free drive-in movie planned at Hartwood Acres Park
The Allegheny County Family Drive-In Movie series will feature a free movie at Saturday Hartwood Acres Park in Indiana Township.
This week’s movie will be, “Frozen 2,” rated PG. Gates open at 7 p.m. and attendance is limited to the first 300 vehicles. Movie audio is played through a radio transmitter on 87.9 FM.
Johnny Cash tribute band to play free concert in Freeport
Freeport Renaissance Association will present a free concert featuring Sounds of Cash, a Johnny Cash tribute band, at 7 p.m. Friday in the Riverside Park gazebo, Freeport.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Those attending are asked to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
