St. Margaret Mary Parish festival planned Friday and Saturday

St. Margaret Mary Parish Festival of Friendship will be Friday and Saturday at the church grounds, 3055 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell.

Food booths will open at 4 p.m. and rides and games open at 6 p.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Saturday. Rain or shine. There will be entertainment, food trucks, games, children’s rides, bingo and a basket auction. The grand raffle prize includes $4,000 in Community Market gift cards. No pets permitted.

Aug. 27: Summer’s Last Fling, a fundraiser for the Outdoor Discovery Center at Crooked Creek, will be from 6 to 9 p.m. at the center, 142 Kerr Road. East Vandergrift

The drawing will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Proceeds benefit auxiliary projects at the hospital.

Through Aug. 31: Panera Bread Café will donate a portion of sales from each Frozen Agave Lemonade, Frozen Strawberry Lemonade, Lemon Drop Cookie and Lemonade tote sold to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a pediatric cancer charity that funds cancer treatment and research.
