Summer Celebration set Saturday in East Deer

The East Deer Summer Celebration will be from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at East Deer Memorial Field, 700 Front St., Creighton.

Register for the cornhole tournament at 1 p.m. Music from noon to 1:30 p.m. will be by the Stagger Lee Band, 2 to 4 p.m. by Rick and Tony and 6 to 8 p.m. by Wise Guys. There will be food, an obstacle course, a balloon artist, fire trucks, free pony rides and a foam party. Back-to-school carnival planned in Kiski Township

The annual Fox’s Pizza Den Back-To-School Carnival will be from 3 to 10 p.m. at the Spring Church restaurant, 3526 Route 156, Kiski Township.

There will be bingo, a scavenger hunt, relay race, face painting, bounce houses, carnival games, kids’ crafts, vendors and food trucks. The carnival will end with a fireworks display at 10 p.m.


Cadogan to celebrate Centennial+1

A Centennial +1 celebration to mark the 101st anniversary of Cadogan will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the township Overlook Park.

There will be food trucks, a basket raffle, performances by local bands and fireworks displays at 9:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Riders in the Officer Brian Shaw Memorial Scholarship Fund Motorcycle Ride will pass though between 10:15 and 10:45 a.m. and touch-a-truck will be from 1 to 3 p.m., both on Saturday. There will be a car show and a DJ from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
