Knead Community Café to distribute grab and go dinners

Knead Community Café in New Kensington will hand out free grab-and-go dinners from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the café, 1011 Barnes St.

This month’s sponsor is Sysco Pittsburgh. Those picking up meals are reminded to observe social distancing while they wait in line.

Free trees available to Plum residents

Tree Pittsburgh will sponsor a free tree giveaway for residents of Plum from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Boyce Park Four Seasons Lodge, 901 Centerview Drive, Plum.

Appointments are required. Plum residents can register for a time slot by visiting tinyurl.com/Giveaway-Plum and entering the word “purple.”

The Allegheny Valley Salvation Army and Community Center in Brackenridge offers free grab and go lunches from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays in parking lot at the center, 917 Brackenridge Ave.

Free diapers and food available at Highlands Family Center

Highlands Family Center, Tarentum, will distribute free diapers, produce, dairy products and fabric face masks Thursday at the center, 415 E. Fourth Ave.
