Small Acts of Kindness
Did your neighbor call and check on you, or bring a face mask or groceries? The Stroller wants to recognize those around us who are performing small acts of kindness for others during this stressful time. Knead Community Café welcomes donations and sponsors
Knead Community Café in New Kensington offers free grab-and-go meals on Thursdays to members of the community, regardless of ability to pay.
About 230 meals are served weekly at a cost of $2.50 per meal. Full meal sponsorships are available at $450 per week. Smaller donations are always welcome.

Scouts plan flag retirement ceremony in Vandergrift
Boy Scout Troop 551 of Hyde Park will conduct a flag retirement ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Vandergrift Community Pool.
The public is welcome to drop off flags for retirement. Flags can be whole, or cut into red stripes, white stripes and the blue starred section.
Anyone who is at least 11 years old and interested in joining Scouts is encouraged to attend.
Bike run planned Saturday by Ashley’s Angels
Ashley’s Angels will sponsor a motorcycle run and lunch Saturday at Gatto Harley-Davidson, 139 E. Sixth Ave., Tarentum.
Registration will be at 9 a.m. and kickstands up will be at 10:30 a.m. Cost is $20 per rider; $10 per passenger; and includes lunch at approximately 12:30 p.m. Tickets for the lunch only are $15.
There will be entertainment and a 50/50 raffle. Face masks and social distancing are required.
Proceeds will benefit Ashley’s Angels charity that raises money to help families who have lost a member to the opioid epidemic.

Donations sought for back to school supplies
The Betsy’s Back to School Blessings campaign sponsored by the St. Anthony Guild at Mount St. Peter Church is collecting funds to purchase shoes and supplies for local children in need.
