Community fair to feature pig roast, carnival

First Baptist Church of Upper Burrell will sponsor a free community fair Saturday at the church, 3740 Seventh St. Road.

There will be a carnival from 1 to 5 p.m. and a pig roast at 5 p.m. A concert featuring The Browders will be at 6:30 p.m. There will be food, face painting, a 250-foot slip-and-slide, a chainsaw carver and games.

Golf outing to raise funds for LB fire companies

A golf outing to benefit Lower Burrell Volunteer Fire Departments No. 1 and 3 will be Sept. 20 at Saxon Golf Course, 839 Ekastown Road, Clinton Township.

Professional wrestling event to benefit Citizens Hose/EMS/Rescue

Citizens Hose Fire, EMS and Rescue will sponsor an evening of professional wrestling Aug. 23 at the firehall, 965 Burtner Road, Harrison.

Food vendors, a car show and craft vendors will be open from noon to 5 p.m. and wrestling with KSWA Wrestling will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
