Salvation Army seeking help at food pantry
The New Kensington Salvation Army, 255 Third St., is looking for volunteers to assist with its food pantry distribution that is held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the first Friday of each month.
Help is needed to sort food and pack boxes, carry and lift boxes into cars and clean up and restock the pantry. Shifts are two to five hours long.

18th century disease to be discussed at historical society program
Allegheny-Kiski Valley Historical Society will offer a program, “Surviving the 18th Century Disease Diagnosis and Treatments,” at 2 p.m. Sunday at the museum, 224 E. Seventh Ave., Tarentum.
Tarentum native and author Jonathan Klemens will discuss 18th century disease theory and treatments including bloodletting, purging, herbal remedies and quackery.
Donations will be accepted. Face masks are required.
Bike run planned Sunday by Ashley’s Angels
Ashley’s Angels will sponsor a motorcycle run and dinner Sunday at the New Kensington Eagles, 2134 Freeport Road.
Registration will be at 10:30 a.m. and kickstands up will be at noon. Oakmont Bakery doughnuts and coffee will be served for breakfast. Cost is $20 per rider; $15 per passenger; and includes dinner. Tickets for dinner only are $15. There will be entertainment, a cash bar and a 50/50 raffle.

Spin Doctors to perform at Hartwood Acres
The Allegheny County Summer Concert Series at Hartwood Acres Park Amphitheater, Indiana Township, will feature a performance by the Spin Doctors at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
