Free stormwater workshop offered
Buffalo Creek Coalition will offer a free stormwater workshop for municipal officials, staff, engineers, environmental advisory councils and local advocates from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 30 at Buffalo Creek Nature Park, 154 Monroe Road, Buffalo Township.
Registration and a continental breakfast will be at 9 a.m. and topics will include designing and creating stormwater management projects on municipal properties, selecting the right native plants for stormwater projects and tailoring stormwater ordinances to meet your community’s needs. Online participation is available.

Apollo Meals on Wheels seeking volunteer help
Apollo Area Meals on Wheels is looking for volunteers to help prepare meals and deliver meals to clients.
Hours for kitchen help are 7 to 9 a.m. and drivers 9 to 11 a.m., both Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays. For details, call the office at 724-478-3117.
Free food distribution planned in Tarentum
Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will distribute free food from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday while supplies last in the parking lot across from Highlands Family Center, 415 E. Fourth Ave., Tarentum.
Drive or walk up and bring carts or bags if you have them. No ID or registration is required.
