Performers needed for annual Casino Theater Christmas show

The Casino Theater in Vandergrift is looking for singers, dancers and actors for this year’s annual Hometown Christmas production set for Nov. 26 through 28.

Participants welcome to participate in Leechburg parade, memorial ceremony

Leechburg Volunteer Fire Company is seeking groups and entries to participate in a parade and memorial ceremony Sept. 11 in the borough to honor first responders.

The parade will begin at 1 p.m. and the memorial ceremony will be at 3. For information, call or text Melissa at 724-332-9090.


Free movie offered at Hartwood Acres

The free Allegheny County Movies in the Parks series will feature the film, “Trolls World Tour,” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hartwood Acres Amphitheater, Indiana Township.

The movie is rated PG. Gates open at 7 p.m. and the movie starts at dusk. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair. This is the last movie of the season.

Today: First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Leechburg, hosts a 13-week GriefShare support group from 6 to 8 p.m. today and Sept. 6 in the church sanctuary, 358 Main St. The group is for anyone who has lost an important person in their life and needs help dealing with the grief.
