Local marching bands to perform at Kennywood Park
Western Pennsylvania has many traditions during the month of August. High school football teams and marching bands begin to practice for their fall seasons.
Another tradition is the participation of our high school marching bands in the Fall Fantasy Parades at Kennywood Park in West Mifflin. Bands and colorful floats march through the park each evening.
Performances at the park this weekend will include the Springdale High School Band on Saturday and Leechburg Area and Plum high school bands on Sunday. Watch the Stroller for updates.
Free art exhibit planned at Manos Gallery
The Manos Gallery in Tarentum will present a free exhibit, “Transcending Art,” from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the gallery, 320 E. Fifth Ave.
Artists from across the country will participate and food will available.
Free concert planned at Concordia Lutheran Ministries
The summer concert series at Concordia at Cabot will feature the Gibbons Band at 4 p.m. Sunday on the Haven II patio, entrance 5, 148 Marwood Road, Jefferson Township.

Roosevelt Park in Arnold to host free family movie night
A free family movie night will be Saturday in Roosevelt Park, Arnold.
The featured film will be, “Tom & Jerry.” Food will be available at 5 p.m. and the movie will start at 8:30 p.m.
