HS marching bands plan preview nights

The Leechburg Area and Burrell high school marching bands will introduce their fall band shows this week. Admission to both shows is free.

• Leechburg Area’s show called, “From Shadows to Spectrum,” will be presented at 5:45 p.m. Friday at Veterans Memorial Field on Logan Avenue. Kona Ice will be on site; the Mothers Club concession stand will be open and there will be a 50-50 raffle.

• The Burrell Marching Band’s show, “Feed the Machine,” will be presented at 6 p.m. Friday at the high school stadium, Puckety Church Road. Gates open at 5 p.m. There will be a basket raffle, concessions and spirits items.

Westmoreland Head Start programs accepting applications

Head Start, Early Head Start and Pre-Counts programs in Westmoreland County are accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year.
