Street fair returns to Brackenridge

Brackenridge Improvement Group will host its annual street fair from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday on Brackenridge Avenue between Morgan Street and Locust Lane.

There will be food, vendors and a 50-50. Entertainment will be provided by Timbellezza Brazilian Drummers, Fossil, the 56 East Blues Band, the Dave Iglar Band and Anela from Steel Shimmy Belly Dance.

Professional wrestling event to benefit Citizens Hose/EMS/Rescue

Citizens Hose Fire, EMS and Rescue will sponsor an evening of professional wrestling Aug. 23 at the firehall, 965 Burtner Road, Harrison.

Food vendors, a car show and craft vendors will be open from noon to 5 p.m. and wrestling with KSWA Wrestling will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Anything That Floats regatta planned at Pink Day

Kiskiminetas Watershed Association will sponsor an Anything That Floats Regatta at 11 a.m. Sept. 20 in Leechburg as part of the borough’s Pink Day celebration.

Families and groups are encouraged to bring their most creative float-worthy craft and float on the Kiski River from the Leechburg Firehall to the Riverfront Park canoe and kayak launch. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative watercrafts.

Registration is $25 per craft if paid on Zeffy.com and will be $30 on the day of the event, cash only. Proceeds will be shared between the watershed association and Pink Day’s breast cancer research fund. For more information and the required paperwork, email prairiesong20@yahoo.com.
