Send a gift to a senior at Presbyterian SeniorCare Network
Presbyterian Senior Care Network is encouraging the public to send a gift to a resident of its facilities for Christmas.
Staffers have created wish lists for residents on Amazon.com. Members of the public are welcome to place a registry order before Dec. 16 to allow the campus elves to wrap and enclose a personalized note of cheer for delivery on Christmas Day.

Free grab and go lunch offered Wednesday at Allegheny Valley Church of God
Allegheny Valley Church of God, 216 Catalpa St., New Kensington, will serve free grab and go lunches at noon Wednesday.
Chicken soup will be served for as long as the food lasts. Those attending are reminded to observe social distancing while making their pickup. For details, call 724-335-0994.
Library sponsoring annual Quilt Show
Community Library of Allegheny Valley in Harrison will host its 23rd annual Quilt Show Jan. 1 through Jan. 23 online.
Entries will be accepted through Dec. 31 and online voting will be Jan. 1 to Jan. 23. Photos of quilts should be emailed to mcintyret@einetwork.com and will be posted on the library Facebook page and website.
Quits must be handmade, but the person submitting the quilt does not have to be the one who made it. The submitting person must complete a form listing the owner’s name, style of quilt, size, category and year made, if known). Categories are hand-quilted, machine-quilted or wall hanging.
The public will vote on their favorite in each category. There is no cost to enter or vote on a quilt. The quilt with the most votes in each category will be awarded a prize on Jan. 26.
