Santa planning trips through Arnold

Members of Arnold Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 will escort Santa Claus around the borough beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Listen for horns, sirens and music.

The route on Tuesday will begin at the Sunoco station on Freeport Road into the McKean Plan, down the hill from Kimball Avenue finishing up on Ridge Avenue. Wednesday’s route will continue down the hill from Alcoa Drive and finish on Victoria Avenue. Rain date is Thursday.

Free diapers available to local families

Highlands Family Center is partnering with the Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank to provide free diapers to local families.

Free diapers will be distributed from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month at the center, 415 E. Fourth Ave., Tarentum.

Bring your child or your child’s birth certificate. There is a limit of one distribution per child per month.

Donations to the effort are also being accepted. Diapers can be dropped off at the center during business hours. For details, call the center at 724-224-9006.

Butler Lions host annual Christmas tree sale

The annual Christmas tree sale sponsored by the Butler Lions Club will continue through the month until all trees are sold at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Butler.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays and 5 to 7 p.m. Fridays, while supplies last. For details, contact the Butler Blind Association at 724-287-4059 or visit butlerpalionclub.org.

New Kensington

Tuesday: Heritage Hospice will host a grief support group for anyone who has lost a loved one from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the center, 2400 Leechburg Road, building 300. Details: 724-334-6600
