Lower Burrell American Legion to host free Christmas Day dinner

Members of Lower Burrell American Legion the post Legion Riders will welcome the public to a free Christmas Day dinner set for noon to 5 p.m. at the post, 1100 Wildlife Lodge Road.

The menu will include ham, pierogi, green beans and Christmas cookies. Coffee, tea and soft drinks will be available.

St. Vladimir Church sponsoring Christmas fundraiser

St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church, Arnold, is selling the following items while they last:

• Christmas at St. Vladimir CD, features seven Ukrainian Christmas carols sung by the church choir, plus excerpts from midnight Mass that were recorded Dec. 25, 1972. CDs are packaged in a replica of the original album. Cost: $15.

• St. Vladimir Christmas cards with photographs of the church at Christmas, with details of the church history and plans for the reconstruction after the fire. Cost: $2 each.

• St. Vladimir pierogi gift cards. Each card will purchase a dozen St. Vladimir pierogi, includes a matching envelope. Gift packaging is available. Cost: $12 each; gift packaging, $3 per box.
