St. Joseph HS plans cash bash
St. Joseph High School is selling tickets for a cash bash planned for 6 p.m. Feb. 18 in Patterson Hall at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1526 Union Ave., Natrona Heights, Harrison.
The winner need not be present. Tickets are $10 and include admission, lottery, dinner and drinks. For tickets, call Patricia Carman at 724-226-7877. Proceeds will benefit the school.
New book club to start Jan. 3 at Vandergrift Public Library
Vandergrift Public Library will sponsor a new book club, The Genre Jumpers, beginning in the new year.
A meet-and-greet meeting will be at 6 p.m. Jan. 3 at the library, 128C Washington Ave., and the first book, “An American Marriage,” by Tayari Jones will be distributed. The group will read from one genre for three months then switch to a new genre for the next three months.

Highlands HS students raise over $1,000 for charity
Highlands High School National Honor Society raised more than $1,000 for the Foster Love Project through its second annual cornhole tournament held Nov. 23.
There were teams composed of students, teachers and administrators who competed for the cause. Winners were freshmen Jerid Kaminski and Ryan Maloney.
