Valley High School baseball team offers camp for students
The 2020 Valley High School Baseball Camp for students in first through ninth grade will be Sundays in January at the high school, New Kensington.
Boys and girls in first through fifth grade will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. and those in sixth through ninth grade from 1 to 3 p.m.
Cost is $30 per child per session in advance and $35 per session at the door. Discounted price for all sessions is $100.

Food safety training course offered
The Armstrong County Penn State Extension Office, 120 S. Grant Ave., Suite 1, will offer a ServSafe Food Safety training course from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 8 and 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 15 at the office. The test will be administered at 1 p.m. Jan. 15.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, licensed food establishments must employ a supervisory employee who has successfully completed a food safety training class. This class will help to satisfy that requirement.
Cost is $185 and includes the book and instructional materials.
