Knead Community Café welcomes donations

Knead Community Café, New Kensington, is accepting donations to help the daily operation of the café, 1011 Barnes St.

Items on the café’s wish list include Lipton gallon-sized ice tea bags, Mini Moo liquid creamer cups, decaf Keurig-type individual cup coffee pods, Tide or Gain powdered laundry detergent, full- and half-sized aluminum foil steam pans, Fabuloso multipurpose cleaner, cupcake liners and gift cards to Sam’s Club, Amazon and local supermarkets. Donations will be accepted during business hours 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays after Jan. 3.

Friday: Apollo Hose Co. No. 2 will host a New Year’s Eve bingo at 8 p.m. at the firehall, 325 N. Fourth St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The kitchen will be open with a full menu. There will be four Early Bird games, 17 regular games, four specials and a must-go jackpot that will pay $500. Cost: $30, includes a hot dog with kraut.
