Drive-through food distribution set for Tuesday at Pittsburgh Mills
Allegheny Valley Association of Churches and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will host a drive-through food distribution for anyone in need from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday in the rear parking lot near Dick’s Sporting Goods at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, Frazer. No cars are permitted to arrive before 4 p.m.
Reservations are required to ensure enough food is available. To make a reservation, visit pittsburghfoodbank.org/drive-up or call 412-460-3663, ext. 655. Have your license plate number of the car you will be in at the event, name, email, zip code, date of birth and current weekly income on hand. Bring your confirmation page or email for your reservation to the event.
Individuals must remain in their vehicle except to use the provided outdoor restrooms. After pulling up to the distribution area, recipients should put their car in park and unlock the trunk or backseat for the food the be loaded.

Virtual cookie exchange planned by Community Library
Community Library of Allegheny Valley is sponsoring a virtual Christmas cookie exchange.
Cookie recipes and a photo if possible should be sent to mcintyret@einetwork.net by Wednesday. Recipes will be shared in a printable Christmas cookie cookbook in PDF format. Those who submit a recipe will receive a free cookie cookbook. For details, visit alleghenyvalleylibrary.org.
Annual Lions Club event goes virtual this year
The annual Jack Marino Tarentum Area Lions Club Charity event will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday online on the club Facebook page.
Prizes totaling $5,000 will be given away. Proceeds will benefit Lions Club charities. Tickets are $50.

Donations welcome for the Friendship Garden Food Pantry
Donations for the food pantry in the Tarentum Friendship Garden can be dropped off at the pantry on First Avenue or at the side doors to First United Presbyterian Church, 913 Lock St., Tarentum.
Items needed include cereal, bread, canned vegetables, soup, macaroni and cheese, rice, spaghetti and pasta sauce.
Community Library of Allegheny Valley selling lottery calendars
Community Library of Allegheny Valley is sponsoring a Cash Calendar Lottery Raffle for the month of January.
Cash prizes will be determined by the amount shown on the ticket each day of the calendar for January 2021. Tickets are $5 for two numbers.
Winning numbers taken from the official Pennsylvania Daily ‘PICK 3” 7 p.m. drawing. The first number drawn is official.
