Sub fundraiser to aid Cheswick couple who lost home to fire
Fat Cat’s Subs in Cheswick is conducting a hoagie fundraiser to benefit Kayla Fischerkeller and Ryan Brittingham of Cheswick who lost their home Jan. 17 in a fire.
Subs cost $8 and varieties available include Italian, ham and cheese and turkey and provolone cheese.
Orders are being accepted at the sub shop, 1401 Freeport Road, Cheswick; the Polish Club in Harwick, Springdale Township; the Krivan Club in Springdale; Mar Mac Tire, the Hunter and Fisherman Club and Tel Star Bar, all in New Kensington; at Zoll by Genny Hepler and at the Springdale High Rise by Gwen Allen.
Orders are pre-paid, cash only and the deadline to order is Feb. 19. Pick-up will be Feb. 25.

Tarentum Rec Board to host Valentine’s Day luncheon
The Tarentum Recreation Board will sponsor a Valentine’s Day luncheon at 1 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Brackenridge American Legion, 845 First Ave.
Cost is $20 each. The menu includes chicken, stuffed cabbage, penne pasta, potatoes, vegetable, rolls, cake and beverage. Entertainment will be by Nick Fiasco.
