Bereavement event for children planned

Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, will sponsor a free virtual youth bereavement care event from 9:30 to 11 a.m. March 4 online on Zoom.

The event, “The Music in Me,” will be a music-themed workshop for youngsters who are younger than 21 who have experienced the death of a loved one.

Pucketos Garden Club to celebrate 90th anniversary

The Pucketos Garden Club that meets in New Kensington will celebrate its 90th anniversary this year.

The group is gathering photos and memorabilia from former and present members for a celebration planned in October. Former members are welcome to participate. For details, call Pat at 724-275-7207.

Do you play the accordion?

A group of local accordion players would like to organize an accordion club in the New Kensington area.

Membership will be open to anyone interested in accordion music. The versatility of the instrument and various styles of music will be explored. This is not an invitation to start a polka band. For details, call 724-236-0665.

Recipients must drive up and remain in their vehicles. First-time recipients must provide their own identification, the child’s birth certificate and a current WIC or SNAP card.
