Oakmont and Verona to welcome spring with Daffodil Days
Riverview Relay for Life will accept orders for its Daffodil Days fundraiser through Tuesday to support the American Cancer Society.
Cost is $12 for a bunch of daffodils, $15 for a bunch of tulips and $15 for mini-potted daffodils. A Gift of Hope is available for $25 and your flowers will be donated to a local cancer center, nursing home or hospice.

Highlands School District
Highlands School District will host an Early Childhood Fair from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 21 for incoming Pre-k Counts and kindergarten students and their families at the district Early Childhood Center, 1060 Atlantic Ave., Brackenridge.
The fair will feature information about the kindergarten and pre-kindergarten programs, food, drinks, a book fair and crafts for children. Families will receive registration packets at the fair for incoming students. Students must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 to register for kindergarten. Children must be 3 or 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 to register for Pre-K Counts.

Kiski Area School District
A family science night for incoming kindergarten students in the district and their parents will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 22 in the North Primary School, 1084 School Road, Allegheny Township.
Parents will meet with the elementary school principals regarding registration and transitional activities and incoming students will participate in an interactive Mad Science program.

Leechburg Area School District
A transitional activity for all district children who will enter kindergarten in the fall and their parents will be at 1 p.m. March 5 in the gymnasium of David Leechburg Elementary School, Leechburg.
Enter through Door 5, the main elementary school door. Children can meet their teachers, visit the school and participate in Dr. Seuss-themed activities.
