Bingo to raise funds for community fireworks

A bingo to benefit the Community Fireworks Fund will be at 1 p.m. Feb. 22 at Pioneer Hose Firehall, 124 Morgan St., Brackenridge.

Doors open at noon. Tickets are $25 in advance and will be $30 at the door, and include six cards for 20 regular games, and three cards for five specials. All prizes will be cash and include a $500 jackpot game. Food and drinks will be sold and there will be a silent auction and 50-50.

Highlands Football Gridiron plans purse bash

Purse bash Highlands Golden Rams Varsity Football Gridiron will host a purse bash fundraiser from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Brackenridge American Legion, 845 First Ave.

Tickets are $40, and include 21 tickets for the purse drawings, nonalcoholic drinks and light snacks. Each person who attends will receive a gift. There will be over 35 designer bags, pick of the table, a basket raffle and a 50-50. Cash, checks and Venmo will be accepted.

Saturday : Friends of Harrison Hills Park will sponsor a Great Backyard Bird Count from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the park Environmental Learning Center. Rain or shine. Observers can stay inside the center or take a short hike at 10:30 a.m. or noon with a park ranger to view the birds. Stay for as little as 15 minutes or the entire time. No reservations required.
