Rotary offers annual scholarships to high school seniors
The Bob Williams Memorial Rotary Scholarship, sponsored by Rotary District 7305 Foundation, will award at least eight need-based $5,000 scholarships to high school seniors for the 2026-27 academic year.
High school seniors and vocational and GED students in Allegheny and Beaver counties as well as those who attend Valley, Burrell and Kiski Area high schools are eligible to apply. Students must have a grade-point average of 2.5 or higher and complete an essay that highlights their community and school service.

Nominations welcome for award to honor Concordia employees
Concordia Lutheran Ministries is accepting nominations for its Stephen W. Johnson Mission Award that recognizes its employees for exceptional service.
The award is named for Concordia’s late chairman of the board of directors, Stephen W. Johnson, who served for 19 years before passing away June 11, 2020.
Nominations will be accepted through March 13. Current and former residents and patients, Concordia employees and members of the community can nominate current employees by filling out an application and describing how the nominee shows a dedication to Concordia’s mission. A banquet will be held in June to recognize the nominees and announce the winner.
