Job fair set at CareerLink in New Kensington

Pennsylvania CareerLink Alle-Kiski in New Kensington will host a job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the office, 1150 Fifth Ave., suite 200.

Job seekers will have an opportunity to speak with employers who are actively looking to hire for open positions including Sheet Metal Workers Local Union No. 12, Re:Build Manufacturing, Par Mar Oil Company, Swank Construction, Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, Pittsburgh Regional Transit, Composidie Inc., All Kids Are Special and more.

Bowl-A-Thon to raise funds for Burrell Education Foundation

The annual Burrell Education Foundation Bowl-A-Thon will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Wildlife Lanes, 1000 Wildlife Lodge Road, Lower Burrell.

Cost is $25 per bowler; $45 for two; and $90 for a team of four and includes bowling and shoe rental. There will be a silent auction and 50/50 raffle.

Annual subscription campaign underway at Lower Kiski Ambulance Service

Lower Kiski Ambulance Service recently sent out a second mailing to residents of Leechburg, West Leechburg, Hyde Park, Gilpin and Allegheny Township for its annual subscription campaign.

March 9: The Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania will sponsor a program on maple sugaring at Buffalo Creek Nature Park, 154 Monroe Road.
