Fundraiser planned March 14 to benefit HOPE Center
Cabin Fever Reliever, a raffle fundraiser to benefit the Alle-Kiski Area HOPE Center, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 14 at the Natrona Heights Veterans of Foreign Wars, 894 Veterans Drive, Harrison.
Admission is $10 and includes lunch, pop, beer and one entry into the door prize drawing. Drawings will be every half hour and there will be cash bar. Raffle tickets will be 20 tickets for $10.

Night of comedy to aid Knoch Wrestling Boosters
A night of comedy to benefit the Knoch Wrestling Boosters will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Carnival Hall at Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Hall, 155 Pittsburgh St., Saxonburg.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Headliners will include Sean Collier, Dave Dugan and Matt Stanton. There will be door prizes, a basket raffle and 50/50 raffle.

Household furnishings to be collected in Plum
Plum Rotary Club and the Blessing Board of Oakmont are partnering to sponsor a household goods drive.
The Blessing Board provides donated household furnishings to those in need at no cost.
Items that will be accepted include small working appliances, household goods such as dishes, silverware, pots and pans, and gently-used sheets, blankets and towels. Donations must be free from heavy stains, rips and tears, pet hair, cigarette smoke, bed bugs and mold. Broken small appliances, furniture, computers, clothing, books and knickknacks will not be accepted.
Donations can be dropped off during regular business hours beginning Wednesday continuing through March 6 at the Plum Municipal Building, 4575 New Texas Road; Plum Community Center, 499 Center-New Texas Road; or the Ron Boller State Farm Agency, 907 Presque Isle Drive.
Salvation Army to serve free community lunch
A free community lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Salvation Army, 917 Brackenridge Ave., Brackenridge.

Help available to register for nutrition assistance program
A representative from Armstrong County Community Action Agency will be at Apollo Memorial Library from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday to help people sign up for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, (SNAP) formerly known as food stamps.
