Tickets on sale for fireworks bingo fundraiser
A bingo to benefit the Community Fireworks Fund will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Pioneer Hose Firehall, 124 Morgan St., Brackenridge.
Doors open at noon. Tickets are $25 in advance and will be $30 at the door, and include six cards for 20 regular games, and three cards for five specials. All prizes will be cash and include a $500 jackpot game. Food and drinks will be sold and there will be a silent auction and 50-50.

Scholarship available to local students
The Westmoreland Garden Council is accepting applications for the 2026 Katherine M. McKenna Scholarship.
Applicants must live in Westmoreland County or its bordering counties and have completed one year at an accredited college or university by May 31 and be pursuing a two- or four-year degree in botany, horticulture, forestry, landscape architecture, environmental science or related field. Prior awardees may apply. The award will be applied to the fall 2026 term.
