East Vandergrift parish conducting raffle for beef, gift cards, freezer

Our Lady, Queen of Peace Parish is selling raffle tickets for a Half A Cow raffle.

The winner will receive half a cow, a 20-cubic foot freezer, a $200 gift card to Rukas Beverage, a $200 gift card to Naser’s Foods, and a $100 gift card to Lackey’s Dairy Queen.

The winning number will be the 7 p.m. March 21 Pa. Daily Pick 3 number. Tickets are $10 for two numbers. For tickets, call Deborah, at 724-859-3186, or stop in at the church office, 400 Kennedy Ave.


Job application and income workshops planned online

Pennsylvania CareerLink Alle-Kiski will offer workshops on Zoom.us for those who need help with applying for jobs and managing their income.

A workshop about how to apply to jobs online and CareerLink services will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday and a workshop on spending, saving and expenses will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Donations welcome for the Friendship Garden Food Pantry

Donations for the food pantry in the Tarentum Friendship Garden can be dropped off at the pantry on First Avenue or at the side doors to First United Presbyterian Church, 913 Lock St., Tarentum.

Items needed include cereal, bread, canned vegetables, soup, macaroni and cheese, rice, spaghetti and pasta sauce.
