Bowling fundraiser to aid Allegheny Valley Association of Churches
Allegheny Valley Association of Churches will host a bowling fundraiser, “Bowling for Blessings,” at 12:30 p.m. March 8 at Wildlife Lanes, Wildlife Lodge Road, Lower Burrell.
Cost is $15 per bowler, and includes three hours of bowling, shoe rental and one pitcher and one pizza per lane. Teams of four to 6 people can be registered. There will be a bake sale.

Spay and neuter clinic planned for March 14
Homeless Cat Management Team will sponsor a Fast Track spay and neuter clinic March 14 at the clinic, 207 Allegheny St., Tarentum.
Fast Track clinics are for any cat that needs a low-cost spay or neuter. Cost is $30 for feral cats. Cost for rescue and pet cats is $40 for males and $55 for females, and includes surgery, pain medications, flea treatment and rabies vaccine. Only feral cats are ear-tipped. Other vaccines and services are available at a separate cost.
Registration is required. To register, call 412-321-4060 and leave a message. A volunteer will return your call and complete the registration process. This may take a few days.

Highmark Medicare lecture planned March 11
Allegheny Valley Hospital’s PriorityCare program will host a free program about Highmark Medicare at 6 p.m. March 11 in the auditorium at the AVH New Kensington Outpatient Center, 651 Fourth Ave.
A senior benefits consultant with Highmark will discuss “original” Medicare, what it includes and does not include, and options for additional coverage. The seminar is for information purposes and no plan-specific details will be discussed.
