Highlands High School to present Alumni Cabaret Concert
The eighth annual Highlands High School Musical Alumni Cabaret Concert will be at 7 p.m. Saturday in the high school auditorium, Natrona Heights, Harrison.
Performances saluting the past 10 years of Highlands musicals will be by alumni, and the high school Honors Choir and Variations Show Choir. Basket raffle tickets will be available at 6:30 p.m. and the Variations will perform a pre-show at 6:45 p.m. There will be a 50/50 raffle, basket raffle, refreshments and dessert.
Admission is $5. Proceeds will support this year’s production of, “Mamma Mia!.”
Free diapers available to local families
The Diaper Pantry at Christ Our Hope Anglican Church, Harrison, is seeking donations of diapers in sizes 2 to 6 for its monthly diaper pantry distribution.
The pantry will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, 926 Painter Ave., Natrona Heights.
To qualify to receive a package of 50 diapers or 25 Pull-Ups per child, parents or guardians must present their own identification, the child’s birth certificate and a current WIC or SNAP card.
Clothing exchange planned in at The River Church in New Kensington
The River – A Community Church will host a Kids Closet community outreach program from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, 200 Freeport Road.
Bring your children’s clothing that no longer fits and swap for gently-used clothing in a new size. The number of items you may take is determined by how many children live in your household.
Clothing to be traded should be freshly laundered and stain- and damage-free. Items that will be accepted include coats, hats, scarves, boots, shoes, sandals and swim trunks and suits.
CANCELLATION: New Kensington: The salad bingo scheduled Friday by East Kensington Community Circle is canceled due to the prediction of measurable snow.

Saturdays: The Community Clothes Closet, 1129 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, offers winter clothing, including coats, shoes, boots, for men, women and children, linens and blankets, and uniforms for students of Mary Queen of Apostles School. First-time customers receive 15 free items. Hours: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays, noon to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays. A drop-off container for donations is at the entrance.
Tarentum
Saturday: A pancake breakfast will be from 8 to 11 a.m. at First United Presbyterian Church 913 Lock St. Cost: $8; 5 to 12, $4; 4 and younger, free. Proceeds will benefit the church youth group.
