Banners available to honor Harrison veterans
The Harrison Township Honor Roll Restoration Committee is selling banners to honor township residents who served in the Armed Forces.
Proceeds will help raise funds to restore the memorial. The double-sided banners will be printed by Gray Signs and measure 24 x 30-inches. Cost is $175 and includes banner, hardware, photo scanning and installation.

Valentine’s Day traditions to be explored at Heritage Museum
The Allegheny-Kiski Valley Heritage Museum will host a program, “Victorian Valentine,” at 2 p.m. Sunday at the museum, 224 E. Seventh Ave., Tarentum.
Collector, restorer and historian Ray Reiser will discuss the origins of Valentine’s Day as well as how it has been celebrated over the years.
Donations will be accepted.

February: Vandergrift Public Library is conducting a bag book sale through the end of the month at the library, 128C Washington Ave., during regular library hours. Feb. 29: A Moonlight Bingo will be at 8 p.m. at Washington Township Volunteer Fire Hall, 4078 Route 66. Doors open at 6 p.m. There will be a DJ, black lights, strip tickets and Minute to Win It games. Cost: $30 includes buffet, drinks and bingo supplies. Only 250 tickets will be sold.
