Food drive planned Saturday in Lower Burrell
The third annual Fallen Officers Food Drive to benefit local food banks will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Mogie’s Restaurant, 3210 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell.
The event is sponsored in memory of Lower Burrell officer Derek Kotecki and New Kensington Officer Brian Shaw who were both killed in the line of duty.
Salvation Army free lunch distribution to resume
The Allegheny Valley Salvation Army and Community Center in Brackenridge offers free grab and go lunches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays in parking lot at the center, 917 Brackenridge Ave.
