West Deer Dog Shelter accepting donations
West Deer Dog Shelter is now accepting donations via Venmo @westdeerdogshelter.
To use Venmo, download the Venmo app and when asked for phone number for verification, enter 5519.
Donations can also be dropped off or mailed to the township building, 109 East Union Road Cheswick, PA 15024. Contributions help with the medical costs of the rescued dogs.

Free grab and go lunch offered Wednesday at Allegheny Valley Church of God
Allegheny Valley Church of God, 216 Catalpa St., New Kensington, will serve free grab and go lunches at noon Wednesday.
Rigatoni and sauce will be served for as long as the food lasts. Those attending are reminded to observe social distancing while making their pickup. For details, call 724-335-0994.

The New Kensington Community Clothes closed remains closed to patrons due to the high numbers of covid-19 cases in the area.
