Christmas tree recycling locations announced
Several locations in the area will offer Christmas tree recycling.
They include:
• Allegheny Township: maintenance building, 1169 School Road, open drop-off available any time through Jan. 31. Non-residents welcome.
• Boyce Park, Plum: 8 a.m. to dusk through Jan. 14 at the soccer fields parking lot.
• Deer Lakes Park, West Deer: 8 a.m. to dusk through Jan. 14 in the Veterans Shelter parking lot
• Harrison Hills Park, Natrona Heights, Harrison: 8 a.m. to dusk through Jan. 14 in the parking lot at the intersection of Chipmunk and Cottontail drives.
• Hartwood Acres Park, Indiana Township: 8 a.m. to dusk through Jan. 14 in the Middle Road parking lot.
Trees should not be bagged and decorations and lights should be removed.
Classes offered by Concordia Institute for Lifelong Learning
Concordia Institute for Lifelong Learning is offering free classes for those of retirement age.
Classes will include history, technology, safe driving, creative writing, nature, crafting, elder law, flower arranging, tai chi, Silver Sneakers and many more. Some classes have a nominal fee.
