Musical alumni concert planned Saturday at Highlands HS
Highlands High School will present its 13th annual Musical Alumni Cabaret concert “’80s Blast from the Past” at 7 p.m. Saturday in the high school auditorium in Harrison.
The concert will feature Highlands musical alumni, the high school honors choir, a senior cast recognition and the cast of this year’s musical, “Footloose.”
Admission is $5. The lobby will open at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments and desserts will be sold and there will be a basket raffle, meet-and-greet and 50-50. Proceeds will help to offset costs of this year’s musical.
Homemade Valentines wanted for local senior citizens
Senior Helpers is collecting handmade Valentine’s Day cards that will be distributed to local senior citizens.
Schools, community groups and local organizations are welcome to participate. Cards should be addressed, “Dear Senior:” Cards should be mailed or dropped off at the office at the office, 638 Fourth Ave., New Kensington. Deadline is Feb. 7. Free spousal grief support group offered
Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia, will host a free grief workshop for anyone who has experienced the death of their spouse or partner from 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursdays Feb. 6 to March 14 at Concordia of Cranberry, 10 Adams Ridge Blvd., Adams Township.
