Local trout club plans annual sport show and flea market

The Tri-County Trout Club will sponsor a sport show and flea market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 20 in Patterson Hall in the basement at Guardian Angels Parish, 800 Montana Ave., Natrona Heights, Harrison.

Doors open for vendors at 7:30 a.m. and buyers at 9 a.m. Vendors who reserve a table can sell new, used or collectible sporting items; no firearms or ammunition. Hot food and beverages will be sold. Table fee is $20, payable in advance. Admission is $3; club members and children younger than 12, free.

Tuesday : Our Lady, Queen of Peace and St. James Parishes will sponsor a bus trip to Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh. The bus will leave the St. James Church parking lot at 9 a.m. and participants will stay at the casino for five hours. Cost: $35, includes gratuity for the driver and $10 in free play. Jan. 13: The Outdoor Discovery Center at Crooked Creek will present “Bald Eagles at Crooked Creek” at 1 p.m. at the center, 142 Kerr Road. Learn how you can assist the Army Corps of Engineers as they survey the eagles this winter. Reservations required. Reservations: armstrongodc.org.

Brackenridge

Today: Bingo will begin at 7:15 p.m. at the American Legion, 845 First Ave.

East Vandergrift

Jan. 13: The Leechburg 175th Anniversary Committee will host a night at the races at the Marconi Club, 135 River Ave. Doors open at 6 p.m. and races will start at 7. Cost: $20, includes a horse, food and soft drinks; food and soft drinks only, $10. Donations for a basket raffle, desserts and cases of pop are welcome. Friday: The Mobile Veterans Program will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 1601 Wildlife Lodge Road. There will be coffee, conversation, games and Gerofit exercise. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. followed by crafts and games. Sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs, all veterans are welcome.

New Kensington
