Highlands Family Center is partnering with the Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank to provide free diapers to local families.

Free diapers will be distributed from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month at the center, 415 E. Fourth Ave., Tarentum.

Bring your child or your child’s birth certificate. There is a limit of one distribution per child per month.

Donations to the effort are also being accepted. Diapers can be dropped off at the center during business hours. For details, call the center at 724-224-9006.

Jan. 17: St. Vladimir Church, 1610 Kenneth Ave., is taking orders for its potato and kraut pierogi sale. Orders will be taken from 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning Tuesday. Pickup will be from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Fridays at the church. Cost: $10 per dozen. Orders: 724-339-9257
