Remembering a friend
It would be remiss of me not to make mention of the death of Karen Motosicky on Saturday. Karen was my friend and mentor for the whole time I worked for the Valley News Dispatch until her retirement a few years ago. When she retired, she handed over the files for the Stroller to me to handle, as well as many other duties in the newsroom.
We shared many events in our professional and personal lives and her advice was always spot on. I hope her love of the Alle-Kiski Valley and its people will continue for years to come in The Stroller. – Carol Pinto-Smith
