Local schools competing in Paint the Plow contest

Leechburg Area and Knoch high schools are among 11 schools from five Western Pennsylvania counties competing in the PennDOT District 10 Paint the Plow contest.

The competition is an outreach aimed at promoting winter driving and fostering appreciation for high school art programs. Now, it’s up to the public to pick their favorites. To vote, visit penndot.pa.gov/PaintthePlow Jan. 8 through Jan. 15. The plow that receives the most votes will be deemed the Fan Favorite. Winners will be announced Jan. 21 to 27 as part of Winter Driving Safety Awareness Week.

Winning entries will be mounted to a plow truck in the areas of the respective school districts for winter.
